Remix-A-Day: DiscoTech & GigaMesh

Here are two new remixes coming from the house of DiscoTech. The first is a remix of Rod Stewart’s classic “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.” An early form of this remix has been around for a while now, but Gigamesh polished it up with some synth. Next is one of Gigamesh’s solo work, giving Philip Glass’ “Etoile Polaire” a sweet, new electronic vibe. I will also pack in some other DiscoTech remixes I haven’t posted up yet. They’re quite a talent. Look out for their latest project Señor Stereo and their first single “Unintentional.” I hear that Señor Stereo is looking into getting into bed with PMA. Exciting stuff. Tell you ’bout it later. In the mean time, remix partay! You’re invited. Rod Stewart - Do Ya Think I’m Sexy (DiscoTech More Sexy Remix) Philip Glass - Etoile Polaire (Gigamesh Remix) and some bonus remixes for good measure… Ciara & Justin Timberlake - Love Sex Magic (DiscoTech Remix) Kanye West - Homecoming (DiscoTech Remix) Livvi Franc - Now That I’m Bitch (DiscoTech Remix) Related posts No related posts.

New Kanye West - Sky High Mixtape

I think I will always underestimate what kind of impact releasing a mixtape before an album drops will have on sales and general reception of the album. It can’t be too bad — Lil Wayne basically releases a few dozen of them before each of his records; and Kanye West is no stranger of mixtapes, either. Didn’t he release his Graduate mixtape a little bit before Graduation saw its release? This Sky High mixtape, somewhat narrarated by DJ Benzi and Plain Pat, doesn’t really feature anything from Kanye West’s 808’s and Heartbreak (save from a “Love Lockdown” remix), but features some of the best Kanye remixes around. Every top-notch producer showed up for class today; we’ve got Diplo, A-Trak, Kickdrums, and Benzi in attendence. Man, even Kanye dropped the school-related puns. I just can’t let something die, huh? Catch the mixtape and a few highlights below! Track Listing: 1.  Sky High Intro 2.  Good Morning ft. Big Sean (The Kickdrums Remix) 3.  Champion (Nick Catchdubs Remix) 4.  Barry Bonds (Eli Escobar Remix) 5.  Crack Musik (Cookin Soul Remix) 6.  We Major (The Kickdrums Remix) 7.  Get Em High (A-Trak Remix) 8.  Throw Some (Cousin Cole Remix) 9.  Electric Touch (Steve1der & Mighty Mi Remix) 10. Love Lockdown (Tom Wrecks Remix) 11. Flashing Lights (Diplo Remix) 12. Addiction (Kenny Dope & Terry Hunter Remix) 13. Stronger (A-Trak Remix) 14. Impatient Boy (Benzi Refix) 15. HomeComing (Discotech Remix) 16. I Wonder (Scottie B Remix) 17. Good Life (Strech Armstrong Remix) 18. Can’t Tell Me Nothing (Dj Godfather Remix) Download: Mediafire (51 mb), Filedropper (51 mb), Big thank you to EastofLA.com Related posts New Justice (ft. Circa 1987

(Kid Color + Skyler via PBRty) Skyler loves the ’80’s. For real. As you can tell by the tracklist, Chocolate Cake & Ice Cream is heavily influenced by the era of Pop, but at the same time offers up some millennium style hotness. Do your best to keep the ’80’s jokes to yourself and take a minute to appreciate the technical skills that present themselves in this mix. Although, the track selection may seem a bit obscure, in the end everything works out perfectly. I never thought I’d ever see the day where Journey and Lil’ Wayne ended up on the same tracklist, but damn, Skyler pulled it off! Tracklist: 1. Erasure - A little Respect (Jades Alliance ‘Electrospect’ Remix) 2. Journey + Michael Jackson - Journey With Jean 3. LMFAO - Girl I Can’t Help It 4. DJ BeatBreaker - Krazy People Don’t Dance 5. Madonna  - Like A Prayer (John Farruggio Remix) 6. Robin S. - Show Me Love (Laidback Luke Remix) 7. Kanye West - Homecoming (Diskotech Remix) 8. Michael Jackson - Wanna Be Startin’ Something (Streetlife DJ’s Remix) 9. Adina Howard - Freak Like Me (Udachi Remix) 10. Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It’s Hott (DJ Mickell Remix) 11. N.E.R.D. - Everybody Knows (The Hump Day Project Remix) 12. Jay-Z - Big Pimpin 13. Yo Majesty - Bootay (Remix) 14. Lil’ Wayne  - A Milli (DJ Danny Digz Remix) Chocolate Cake & Ice Cream (45MB) (Mediafire) Beats™    Tagged: Exclusive, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Mixes, Mp3, skyler

DiscoTech does Kanye + Chris Martin! Yeah!

Sucker for a Steely Dan sample though I may be, when Kanye's Graduation dropped this time last year, I fell hard for "Homecoming", a late album jam whose piano stabs lovingly call to mind The Stranger -era Billy Joel. Coming off the heels of Jay-Z's Kingdom Come, guest star Chris Martin was giving Beyonce a run for her money as Roc-A-Fella hip hop accessory of the year, but in revisiting the track a month or so ago, I felt a little underwhelmed by how... thin the whole thing felt.Recently, Martin & West have pulled something of a Freaky Friday: Coldplay has since released an album on which they adopt a level of cocksure swagger usually reserved for early aughts major label hip hoppers, and Kanye has released the seething, introspective "Love Lockdown", a track showcasing poutiness usually reserved for late 90's Brit rockers. And though I could go on about their varied successes and failures with their respective new paths, I'd rather just say Goddamn, DiscoTech, I can't believe I almost fell out of love with this shit.Kanye West Feat. Chris Martin "Homecoming (DiscoTech Remix)"
