No Lay * Silkie * Kingdom29 July 2010 Sorry for the little delay, been a bit busy slaying jacuzzis lately...somebodies gotta do it. I love this new remix by Kingdom, sounds like something that was thrown together with a bunch of house and hip hop samples, with a little bmore and a few clever reverses to set the mix off just right. Combine that with the beautiful Chicago-esque vocals, some well placed bass synth stabs, along with a sort of Fruity Loops charm and this thing is stuck on repeat. Deep into the bowels of house

A highlight from Tiga's album, Overtime, was release alongside a host of remixes a couple of months back. Now Turbo Recordings are kindly giving the standout Motor City Drum Ensemble remix away for free. And once again, Motor City Drum Ensemble reaches deep into the bowels of house, yanking out those clanging Chicago snares. Brodinski and Sei A's remixes are also worth a look in:Tiga - Overtime (Motor City Drum Ensemble Tape Dub Mix)[pelski highly recommends] {buy}Riton's bombastic electro style's been toned down over the years. His productions have come to display a versatility and diversity that have left his music much harder to pidgeon-hole. His work on 'Radiates' and 'Who's There' demonstrated a knack for quirky originality. Here he lends an old school piano house remix to M.I.A.'s latest:M.I.A. - XXXO (Riton ReRub) [pelski highly recommends] {buy}Soul Clap are on top of their game right now. Their 'Rnb Edits' on Wolf + Lamb house up Jamie Foxx and R.Kelly, proving that it's not just dubstep/2-step making Rnb sound sleek. Their remix of Bad Rabbits, with its slinky vocals and a typically smooth, disco-tinged groove, make this another must-have for Soul Clap fans:Bad Rabbits - She's Bad (Gadi Mizrahi & Soul Clap Remix) [pelski highly recommends] {buy}Next up we have a highlight from the 'Secret Weapon' EP, a new Dixon rework of a 2007 Âme track. The organic patter of tribal percussion is rearranged in a tantalisingly minimalistic manner (track reduced to 128kbps):Âme - Fiori (Dixon Beat Edit) {buy}
