Hostage’s second EP for Nightshifters, called Valhalla, dropped and floats a slamming mix of current styles served up with a dash of real rave and some very meaty bass. The massive project is purchasable via Beatport. To pre-snack something, if you’re hungry for Hostage, we give away the title-track, feeling like the soundtrack to an action-movie w/ Whoopy Goldberg + Bruce Willis. Valhalla got a typical Nightshifters-flavour, topped with classic choir-voices, orchestrated rides and a ruff, stormy bassline straight from the basement of hell.

Bass bad boy Hostage is back with a brand new EP called Valhalla on our favorite rave music label, Nightshifters. The release packed with 4 original tracks that touch base on tribal, dubstep, dutch… Everything! He’s basically taken each track and packed it with the party starting essentials. Not only are the original tracks fantastic but like any good modern release, there are also some fantastic remixes too!
With a heavy line-up of artists like Chrissy Murderbot, Rampage, Angel Alanis and the only non-Chicagoan on the remix duties, Momma’s Boy, this release is a must have! Head over to Beatport and spend those paychecks.

Hostage is back with his Valhalla EP, the eleventh release that Nightshifters has put out so far. If I could direct a video for this track it’d be a rave on the Death Star. In other news, word is Chicago heads Angel Alanis, Chrissy Murderbot and Rampage were scouted to put their own finishing touches on ‘Valhalla,’ so keep an eye out for those.

One of the more progressive forces in minimal today is Montreal’s staple producer/dj, The Mole. This remix was chosen for Gui Boratto’s No Turning Back Remixes EP, released on Kompact several months ago, also featuring a Wighnomy Bros remix in there, too, making the release short but irresistibly sweet for me. The track has a delicate finesse, blossoming quite nicely once the vocals unfold. I’d like to see more big-name Mole remixes in the future.

A little voice in my head is telling me to post this song regardless of it’s age, and usually things go a lot better for me when I do as it says, so.. Frankmusik released “Three Little Words” with official remixes by L-Vis1990, Blackstrobe, Paper Faces and Black Gardenia- which are all just super, but what really got me for some reason was this A1 Bassline version. Fuck haters.

Scottish producer Hostage just dropped one thunderous EP with “Valhalla” (released by Nightshifters that goes from strength to strength with their releases). Hostage keeps the single going with bass and adds some sprinkles of rave to keep the dancefloor in check, remix duties comes from Chicago house legend Angel Alanis, Chicago b-more hero Rampage then Chrissy Murderbot adds some juke flavour and Mommas Boy finishes the package off with some Dutch house/Euro rave goodness.

Possibly Nightshifters biggest release to date 'Valhalla' by Hostage finally gets its release today. Not only chock-a-block full of original epic efforts from the Scottish star, this release comes backed with some awesome remixes from Chicago legend Angel Alanis with his deep house cut, some Baltimore bass touches from Rampage, some bouncy juke from Chrissy Muderbot and the ravetatstic monster from Momma's Boy. This is an epic release, with Hostage taking each of his tracks in different directions, and the remix talent taking things further afield with their interpretations, but the proof is in the pudding so buy it now! 'Valhalla' by Hostage is out now on Nightshifters and available to download from Beatport now.Hostage - 'Valhalla' //Nighshifters ♫
